The Sharkey-Issaquena Medical Foundation was formed in 2010 with the specific purpose of raising funds to support projects and other initiatives identified by the Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital and to do so based on priorities established by the hospital administration in consultation with medical staff and Board of Trustees in the context of the long term direction of the hospital.
